Old NCERT chapters, and where they are in the new books

NCERT replaced the Maths books for Classes 6 to 9 with Ganita Prakash (Classes 6–8) and Ganita Manjari (Class 9). Chapters were renamed, reordered and some moved to a different class, so "Class 8 Maths Chapter 2" is Linear Equations in the old book and Power Play in the new one. Find your old chapter below to see where it is taught now.

Old chapter numbers are from the 2023–24 books. A match means the new chapter teaches the same ideas, not that it copies the old one: the new books often go further or take a different route.
